137.Safety – Bilge system . The three compartments of the ship are each equipped with a double bilge system.
The system consists of two bilge pumps, two float switches, an automatic pump switch, pipework
and a feed-through to the outside per compartment. The float switch triggers an alarm.
After a fixed time, the bilge pump is started automatically. When the second float switch is
activated within the specified time, both bilge pumps start immediately.
The waiting time gives you the opportunity to determine the cause before pumping is started.
If you do not hear/see the alarm, the pump will start automatically. If the leak is so serious
that 1 pump is not sufficient, the second pump will switch on automatically after a while.
The pumps can of course also be switched on or off manually.
